TFTF Funding Information
Transportation funding levels have not kept pace with costs to support the transportation needs of the community. Revenues continue to fall far below the levels required to implement all of the projects necessary to reduce congestion, improve safety, expand mobility, and maintain the existing transportation system.
Over $4 billion in transportation projects and programs are needed over the next 25 years to maintain and improve transportation in our region. Only $2 billion in funds are reasonably expected to be available over the next 25 years to meet those needs, leaving a $2 billion funding gap. The TFTF is charged with developing a plan to help fill part of this gap.
